Mind-Body bridging has been shown to be an effective therapeutic intervention over a wide range of medical and psychiatric conditions (Tollefson et al., 2009; Nakamura et al., 2013; Nakamura et al., 2011), including the treatment of substance abuse (Nakamura et al, 2015).
Mind-Body Bridging has been therapeutically applied to addiction recovery, anxiety and stress related disorders, PTSD, anger management, domestic violence prevention, and sleep disorders, and can be applied in other therapeutic contexts.
